Welcome to my #1 blog post. Thank you very much for being here and following my journey as I build my new business with Essens.
It’s Been Manic!
As I’m sure you can imagine setting anything up from scratch is a very daunting job, especially when you’re not able to shout it out from the rooftops just yet! These last 10 days have been manic. Lots of computer work setting up this blog, setting up Facebook and other social media type things to support this business has taken a priority. I hope that you can see that it is all beginning to take shape now? You will hopefully see lots of changes and additions over then next few weeks as I settle on a header and final logo design. Hopefully these edits and alterations wont disrupt the basic workings of the site and your overall experience here.
Finding Customers
This has been an easier task than setting up the website and blog to be honest. It seems that this is the right time of year for retailing Essens Perfumes and Aftershaves. Even though people have just bought or been given the expensive designer fragrances as gifts they are still keen to buy the products that I have that are inspired by the products that they already have. What I can offer to them will see them saving money and being able to wear something similar to their favourite designer perfume and aftershave daily.
People Are Genuinely Surprised…
It’s been a very sociable time of year and I’ve had the opportunity to speak with lots of people lately. Catching up with people is a brilliant time to slip into conversation about my new business with Essens UK. Everyone wants to save a bit of money on smelling beautiful but many are afraid to compromise. Once I have let people use the sample kit alongside the Inspired By Fragrance List they are genuinely surprised by the strength and longevity of the Essens perfumes and aftershaves. In a blind test a few have even picked the Essens Inspired By alternative to their own Designer fragrance!
It’s Not Just Perfume!
As you can see from the contents of the box it’s not just Perfume! As well as customer perfume and Aftershave orders I’ve ordered a couple of products for myself to try. As a firm believer in being “a product of the product” I’ve bought myself some of the Essens cleaning products and the Essens health products too. Starting a new year with a new healthy eating plan I can now supplement this with a daily shot of Aloe drinking gel. I will go into the benefits of this in another post but it’s not as yucky to taste as everyone makes out it to be.
Working My Way Up The Marketing Plan
It’s exciting to see just how quickly I have started to work my way up through the marketing plan. I have reached the first step of 3%. This means that I will now earn an extra bonus on top of my retail commissions. I would be thrilled to hit the 6% level in my first month with Essens but we will have to wait and see. I am restricted at the moment. But maybe by the time that you’re reading this I wont be and I will already have a thriving team and be at the coveted 25% or even 28%
The Team Is Growing Too
Just in the past couple of days I have had two people join the Team. They have found me and approached me to join. I did not know them before hand so this must be a testament to the brand I have been building online. People know what they get when they work with me. They are fully supported and not left to “just get on with it” I am here to help my Team to build a business to whatever scale they want it to be. If they just want a few quid or if they want a few thousand quid I can show them how it’s done. So if you’re curious to know more and to be a part of a growing team reach out to me. I will be building wide as well as deep and right now I am looking for a few key people to place in my frontline to give the Team a solid foundation.
